AfriMod Natural #3: Classic Cross-Stitch – Large Lidded Storage Basket

AfriMod Natural is an Africa-inspired storage basket. It is designed by AfriMod Studio with inspiration from traditional Hausa "adudu" baskets. The design features a reconfigured contour and shape that infuses a modern sensibility without losing the core essence of its roots. The weave pattern of this basket is tight and the natural fiber construction is durable.

This specific design is AfriMod Natural #3. The basket featured two 1-inch brown leather handles at its sides with beige leather cross-stitch detailing. In addition, a 1-inch brown leather loop handle is asymmetrically attached to the lid. The basket is large (20in), lidded and perfect for pillows, blankets, towels, etc in any room. Hand-woven by traditional Hausa artisans in Kano, Nigeria.

Basket lid locks into place when pushed down. To release the lid, pull up basket cover at the edge. Then use strap to lift lid. Attempting to lift lid or to carry heavy loads with only the straps may place strain and damage the straps.
