Blank note cards inspired by Kanuri/Babur gourd art of northeastern Nigeria. The original traditional images were isolated, re-interpreted and recomposed to create a soft abstract patterning of feminine colors.

  • Traditionally, African rural farmer artisans use very hot knives to carve illustrations onto dried gourds. This greeting card features isolated and re-interpreted illustrations of abstract patterning from a Kanuri/Babur gourd art of northeastern Nigeria.
