Yoruba Bata drums are double-headed drums, with an hourglass shape where one end is larger than the other. The drums and variants migrated to the Caribbean and South America.
These 3 pieces are the smallest Bata drums, called “Omele.” The largest lead drum (not featured) is termed the “Iya-Ilu” (essentially the mother drum).
This is a set of 3 Omele sized Bata drums.
Can be played with leather or rubber straps (included) or by hand.
Dimensions vary, approximately: 4 x 9 inches.
